We’re Finally Getting a New Drive

We’re Finally Getting a New Drive - Barbara Johnson

My husband likes to think that he wears the pants in the family but we ladies know better right? For example recently we’ve been mulling over the idea of getting our driveway refurbished. By mulling over I mean that I’ve told him that we need to get good quality paving for the drive and that’s that. So it’s happening. Funny how that works out sometimes.

I actually have genuine reasons for wanting to get new park paving Edmonton. For starters, our current drive way is an absolute mess. The paving is split and there are weeds growing out of the gaps. Compared to the drives of all the other houses on the street, it is definitely a poor showing and something needs to be down about it if we are going to be keeping up with the neighbours.

It’s a little bit dangerous too. The kids on the street have a habit of running around people's houses when they are playing. I don’t mind that at all. In fact I enjoy that they are having fun. I just cringe whenever they end up on our drive. I always worry about what would happen if one of them trips and falls on the uneven paving we have at the moment. Yet another reason to get brand new paving I believe.

Finally there's the wear on the car itself. The roads around here aren't the best as it is so I'd really prefer that when we park the car that it isn't on a surface that could cause it more damage. I don't like vists to the garage at the best of times and in my opinion getting the drive refurbished will mean that we end up spending less on new tires. It makes sense in the long run.

So my husband put up the usual protests about the cost, but we both know we have more than enough to afford it so online we went to find a park paving company that could do the job. It's actually a lot cheaper than we thought it would be, so once he found out that the work wouldn’t end up burning a hole in his pocket he was suddenly a whole lot more receptive to the idea. Again it's funny how these things work out huh? We’re going to be spending the next couple of weeks getting quotes and the finally the drive will end up looking presentable again.
