Plans for a beautiful summer day

Plans for a beautiful summer day - Barbara Johnson

Today was a great day to go to the beach or to the pool in the park and sunbathe. The weather was perfect. Unfortunately I was not able to go because I had to stay home and wait for a delivery.

One week ago I ordered somedoor awnings Longueuil and they were supposed to be delivered today at home, somewhere between twelve to five.

If I would have organized my time a bit better, I guess I would have had the time to go out to the the poo in the park l in the morning and return home by noon. But since I woke up around nine, (which is incredibly late for me, given that I always wake up around seven) I decided I had not enough time for the pool. I had to make my coffee, prepare my breakfast, tidy up the house a bit and finish my project.

I checked the weather on my phone and saw that the following day will be hot as well. Then I thought I should go tomorrow to the pool and I should take my nephew and niece with me. Right away I called my sister and asked her if they had any plans for the following day. She seemed to like my idea.

Before I tell her anything else she told me that she will have the kids ready to go at 8:30 A.M. All I had to do was to go pick them up and take care of them. She added that she would go see a friend and she would pass by my place in the evening to take the kids home. Within seconds she extended the time I had planned to spend with the kids from couple of hours to a whole day.

That’s not quite what I had in my mind, but it was fine. I did not mind being with my two little bandits.

After she hang up the phone, I wrote a list of things I needed to go buy from IGA after the delivery of the awnings. I had to do some groceries, given that the kids were coming. I needed to get some sweets, some fruits, juices and some turkey breast. Both of them are crazy after turkey breast pickles sandwiches. The last item on my list were the s’mores. We always do s’mores when they are here.
